NetworkTrafficView is a freeware network traffic monitoring app and network auditor developed by Nir Sofer for Windows. It's comprehensive, light on system resources, straightforward and powerful.

The download has been tested by an editor here on a PC and a list of features has been compiled; see below. We've also created some screenshots of NetworkTrafficView to illustrate the user interface and show the overall usage and features of this network traffic monitoring program.

Displays network traffic statistics on your network adapter

NetworkTrafficView is a network monitoring tool that captures the packets pass through your network adapter, and displays general statistics about your network traffic. The packets statistics is grouped by the Ethernet Type, IP Protocol, Source/Destination Addresses, and Source/Destination ports. For every statistics line, the following information is displayed: Ethernet Type, IP Protocol, Source/Destination Address, Packets Count, and more...

Features of NetworkTrafficView

  • Data Speed: The current data speed for the specified packets group, in KB/Sec.
  • Ethernet Type: Displays the Ethernet type - IPv4, IPv6, ARP and so on.
  • IP Protocol: Displays the IP protocol, when the Ethernet type is IPv4 or IPv6 - TCP, UDP, ICMP and so on.
  • Maximum Data Speed: The maximum data speed recorded by NetworkTrafficView for the specified packets group.
  • Packets Count: The number of packets counted for the specified packets group.
  • Service Name: For TCP lines, displays the service name (http, https, ftp and so on) according to the lower port number.
  • Source/Destination Address: Displays the source and destination addresses of this packets summary line.
  • Source/Destination Port: For TCP lines, the port numbers of the TCP connection are displayed.
  • Status: For TCP lines, displays whether the TCP connection is opened or closed.
  • Total Data Size: The total size of the data of all packets (in bytes), excluding the Ethernet and TCP/IP headers, for the specified packets group.
  • Total Packets Size: The total size of all packets (in bytes), including the packet headers, for the specified packets group.

NetworkTrafficView is provided under a freeware license on Windows from network auditing software with no restrictions on usage. Download and installation of this PC software is free and 2.50 is the latest version last time we checked.

What version of Windows can NetworkTrafficView run on?

NetworkTrafficView can be used on a computer running Windows 11 or Windows 10. Previous versions of the OS shouldn't be a problem with Windows 8 and Windows 7 having been tested. It comes in both 32-bit and 64-bit downloads.
